Round 10 of Betfred League One is here and will kick-start with a thrilling showdown between 1st and 2nd in the table on Sunday.
Keighley entertain Oldham as the top two go head-to-head at Cougar Park, so expect a fiery encounter. Both sides sit level on 14 points, meaning the winner of this match will move up to top spot for at least a week.
The Cougars are seven wins from eight, while current league leaders Oldham remain unbeaten in 2024. Previous meetings are fairly even, and have seen both teams inflict heavy defeats on each other in recent years. But who will emerge as victors this time around?
North Wales Crusaders will be hoping to avoid a fifth straight loss when they travel to the Alexander Stadium and meet with Midlands Hurricanes.
After a strong start in the opening three rounds, the Crusaders have struggled to find another win since, although they did beat the Canes 20-14 back in March.
North Wales have also won their last 11 meetings with Midlands, although the hosts will be undoubtedly boosted by their big win over Newcastle last weekend and will enjoy a third consecutive home fixture in Round 10.
Could we see another close contest unfold between the two sides?
Newcastle Thunder will play their first game back at Gateshead International Stadium this weekend when they welcome Rochdale Hornets to town.
A third-placed Hornets will be looking to hold down their position in the league table, as they hope to make it three wins on the spin and go back-to-back against ninth-placed Newcastle.
But Thunder, who have returned to their old home, will be determined to make this game a memorable one for all involved.
It’s then a trip to West Yorkshire for Cornwall on Sunday, as they take on a high-flying Hunslet. In history, there have been four meetings between these two teams with Hunslet taking the spoils each time.
